The State of Maharashtra commemorates its 10 years of cordial relations with Wakayama Prefecture, Japan with an iconic event announcement today.
To cherish this friendship, Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), has organized an event – The Inauguration and MoU Renewal Signing between The Government of Maharashtra & Wakayama Prefectural Government, Japan.
The event will witness the presence of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Eknath Shinde, the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, and the Hon’ble Governor of Wakayama Prefectural, Mr. Kishimoto Shuhei.
Other dignitaries present at the event include Hon’ble Minister for Tourism Skills & Entrepreneurship, Women & Child Development, Maharashtra, Shri Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Hon Governor Principal Secretary Tourism, Government of Maharashtra, Shri Saurabh Vijay IAS, Managing Director, MTDC, Smt Shraddha Joshi Sharma.
The event will signify the extension of friendly relations between Maharashtra and the Wakayama Prefecture of Japan in the years to come, exploring sectors of cooperation as quoted by Shri Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Govt. of Maharashtra.
The special attraction of the event is the showcasing of Maharashtra’s Kusti and Wakayama’s Sumo forms of wrestling.
