Nandini Gupta: From Kaithun to the World Stage – India’s Pride at Miss World 2025

Today marks a moment of immense pride and emotion as Nandini Gupta, our very own Femina Miss India 2023, takes the global stage at the 72nd Miss World Pageant, hosted right here in Hyderabad, India. The excitement is palpable as the world tunes in, and for us Indians, it’s a historic homecoming of the Miss World crown.

Having been present during the electric atmosphere of the 2024 Miss World events in Mumbai, we can still recall the glamour and grace that filled the Jio World Convention Centre in BKC. We were fortunate to witness those magical moments when Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic was crowned Miss World by the ever-gracious Ms. Julia Morley. Back then, Sini Shetty was representing India, and though she didn’t clinch the title, she left us inspired with her poise and determination.

Fast forward to today — and our hearts are full once again. This time, it is Nandini Gupta who carries the hopes of 1.4 billion Indians on her slender yet strong shoulders.

A Star Born in Simplicity

Nandini’s journey is not just about beauty and elegance — it’s about grit, grace, and deep-rooted values. Hailing from Kaithun, a quiet little village near Kota in Rajasthan, Nandini’s story reads like a fairytale woven in mustard fields. The 21-year-old comes from a modest family — her father, a businessman from a farming background; her mother, a devoted homemaker; and her younger sister, Ananya Gupta, who looks up to her with starry eyes. Their family is rounded off lovingly by their Labrador, Banjo.

She grew up playing amidst crops of millets, mustard, and black chickpeas, and dreaming under vast open skies. After completing her schooling from St. Paul’s Senior Secondary School, she moved to Mumbai, where she pursued a degree in Business Management at Lala Lajpat Rai College. This leap — from village lanes to bustling metros — shaped not only her intellect but her spirit.

From Miss Rajasthan to Miss India – and Now the World 👑

Crowned Miss India 2023 after winning the Miss Rajasthan title, Nandini has already shown the world what it means to rise with integrity and purpose. Today, among 108 contestants vying for the coveted Miss World 2025 crown, she has proudly secured a spot in the Top 40 finalists — a remarkable feat in itself.

Her story is proof that no dream is too far when driven by sincerity, discipline, and an unwavering sense of self. Nandini brings not just her beauty to the stage, but a fierce compassion, intellect, and a voice for young women across rural India who dare to dream.

A Celebration of India’s Spirit

As India hosts the Miss World pageant once again, this time in the culturally rich city of Hyderabad, we are reminded of how far we’ve come in celebrating diversity, strength, and beauty in all its forms. It’s more than a pageant — it’s a celebration of the human spirit.

Watching Nandini step onto that stage today, we don’t just see a contestant. We see Kaithun, Kota, Rajasthan, and all of India reflected in her confidence. We see a story that inspires the next generation. We see a young woman who already is a winner — in dignity, in dreams, and in the hearts she has touched.

Whether she takes the crown home or not, Nandini Gupta has already etched her name in the stars. She has shown us that it doesn’t matter where you start — what matters is the courage to chase your light.

As the world watches and applauds tonight, we, her country, her people, her family, are already standing — teary-eyed and proud — ready to cheer her on.
