A seismic wave of excitement is about to hit cricket lovers across India as tickets for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 go live and for the first time ever, fans can book their seats for as low as ₹100. The ICC’s decision to open Phase I sales on tickets.cricketworldcup.com with record-low pricing has set the tone for what promises to be one of the most inclusive and iconic cricketing events ever hosted in the region.

This historic 10th edition of the tournament — co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from 7 February to 8 March — brings together 20 teams, 55 high-voltage matches and eight legendary venues. The action starts in Colombo with Pakistan facing the Netherlands, continues with West Indies battling Bangladesh in Kolkata, and leads to one of the most anticipated clashes for Indian fans: India versus USA at the electric Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. With more than 2 million tickets up for grabs, this is shaping into a once-in-a-generation opportunity for fans to watch world-class cricket without the traditional barriers of cost or access.

ICC CEO, Sanjog Gupta captured the spirit of this bold step forward, saying, “Opening tickets at ₹100 and LKR1000 is our way of rewriting who gets to experience world-class cricket from the stands. We wanted every fan — not just a few — to feel the energy, the noise, the magic of a global event. This edition is designed to be the most accessible and ambitious T20 World Cup ever staged.” He added, “Our focus is simple: make stadiums full, make fans feel connected, and make 2026 a celebration that belongs to the world.”

From India’s side, BCCI Honorary Secretary Devajit Saikia reinforced the promise of a world-class fan experience, stating, “This tournament isn’t just about the cricket. It’s about creating a vibrant, seamless and unforgettable match-day atmosphere for every fan who walks through the gate. With ticket prices starting at ₹100, we want stadiums packed, voices loud, and fans from all walks of life coming together to celebrate the sport we love.”

Sri Lanka Cricket CEO Ashley de Silva added his anticipation as co-host, noting, “We’re thrilled to welcome fans from across the globe. The passion, the colours, the energy — it’s all set to come alive across Sri Lankan venues. With ticket sales now open, we encourage everyone to secure their seats early because once the action begins, every moment will count.”

The tournament will unfold across some of the most iconic cricket grounds in both countries —
in india it’s the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

SRI Lankan will host at R. Premadasa Stadium and Singhalese Sports Club Ground in Colombo, and the scenic Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy.

Each carries its own legacy, atmosphere and fan culture, adding texture to what promises to be a month-long cricketing spectacle.
