Headquartered in Mumbai’s Film City, the milestone facility anchors the company’s global operations and fulfills the vision jointly announced by Prime Focus and the Maharashtra Government at the WAVES Summit to build a world-class entertainment ecosystem in India.
Speaking at the inauguration, Chief Minister Fadnavis expressed high expectations for the studio’s upcoming cinematic epic, Ramayana, remarking on his vision to bring home an Oscar for the landmark project.
Designed for the future of media and technology, the purpose-built Prime One campus already houses over 1,000 creative and technology professionals in Mumbai, integrating them into Prime Focus’s broader global network of more than 10,000 employees worldwide.
Namit Malhotra has established a massive global footprint through visual effects powerhouse DNEG—an eight-time Academy Award winner for Best Visual Effects with credits on blockbusters like Dune, Dune: Part Two, and Tenet. Building on this legacy, DNEG, in association with Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, is set to deliver Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash. With its Indian trailer already generating widespread acclaim, the newly released English lip-synced version aims to introduce India’s iconic epic to a worldwide audience.
