HCG Cancer Centre Hosts Mumbai’s Inaugural Pickleball Tournament for Cancer Survivors

Event Unites Cancer Survivors, Clinicians, Caregivers, and Support Groups at St. Francis Assisi School Ground

HCG Cancer Centre Borivali celebrated World Cancer Day in a truly heartwarming way by hosting Mumbai’s first-ever Pickleball Tournament at St. Francis Assisi School Ground. The event brought together cancer champions, their families, clinicians, caregivers, and support groups, all united under the theme “United by Unique.” This day was a beautiful tribute to the incredible strength, resilience, and individual journeys of cancer survivors, creating an uplifting sense of community through the power of sport.

The tournament saw heartwarming doubles matches, where cancer survivors teamed up with their families, doctors, and caregivers from HCG, showcasing the unbreakable bonds forged through their journeys. Pickleball, known for its teamwork and accessibility, proved to be the perfect game to promote both physical health and emotional well-being. Alongside the tournament, wellness workshops offered valuable insights into staying active after cancer treatment, while dedicated relaxation zones provided much-needed mental health support. The day truly embodied the spirit of “United by Unique,” where each survivor’s path was celebrated, yet they came together to form an unshakeable, supportive community.
