Union Bank of India Bags Kirti Puraskar 2024-25 for Excellence in Official Language and Best House Magazine

Union Bank of India has been honored with the prestigious Kirti Puraskar for the financial year 2024-25, conferred by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The Bank secured the award in two distinct categoriesExcellent Implementation of Official Language and Best House Magazine – Union Srijan.

At the 5th All India Official Language Conference held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat on 14th September 2025, the award was formally presented by Shri Amit Shah, Hon’ble Union Minister of Home Affairs & Co-operation. The first prize for House Magazine – Union Srijan was received on behalf of the Bank by Shri Nitesh Ranjan, Executive Director, Union Bank of India.

Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Law & Justice and Shri Dinesh Sharma, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha presented the Kirti Puraskar Award to the Bank for Excellent Official Language Implementation during the year 2024-25. The Award was received by Shri Suresh Chandra Teli, Chief General Manager, Human Resources (HR) of the Bank.

Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar is the highest award given by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India to Ministries, Departments, Public Sector Undertakings, Banks, Corporations and Journals for effective implementation and promotion of Hindi language.

During the program, the book Union Bhasha Vaibhav published by the bank and the role of banks in the concept of @2047 developed India was released by the dignitaries present on the stage.

On the second day of the All-India Official Language Conference, a prayer song prepared by Union Bank of India in collaboration with all 12 Public sector banks was presented. Also, 11 Town Official Language Implementation Committees (TOLICs) operating under the convenorship of Union Bank of India were honoured for excellent performance by the Department of Official Language.
