The Water Kingdom Marathon 2025: Kicking Off the Year with Fitness, Health, and Community Spirit

·  Over 3,000 participants joined the inaugural Water Kingdom Marathon 2025 at Gorai Jetty, marking Mumbai’s first marathon of the year.

·  The event featured 3KM, 5KM, and 10KM categories, welcoming participants of all ages and fitness levels, from families to seasoned athletes.

·  The marathon was a celebration of fitness and community, with a pre-race DJ warm-up and a flag-off led by Water Kingdom’s CEO and senior leadership, followed by exciting prizes for top finishers.

Mumbai erupted in excitement and energy as over 3,000 enthusiastic participants gathered at the picturesque Gorai Jetty for the highly anticipated inaugural Water Kingdom Marathon 2025 on Sunday morning. With the city still at rest, the atmosphere was electric as families, seasoned athletes, and fitness enthusiasts of all ages united for the first marathon of the year. The event, featuring 3KM, 5KM, and 10KM race categories, became a vibrant celebration of fitness, marking a spectacular start to 2025 for all involved.

The marathon quickly transformed into a vibrant festival of health and wellness. Prior to the flag-off, an energetic pre-race warm-up session, led by a DJ and Emcee, infused the crowd with energy, setting the tone for the day. The official flag-off was led by key members of Water Kingdom, including CEO Mr. Paresh Mishra and Senior Vice President of Operations, Flt. Lt. Anand Lamdhade. Their presence underscored the commitment of Water Kingdom to promote a culture of fitness and well-being in the city.

As the participants set off on their respective race routes, the atmosphere was electric with excitement. Families, community groups, and fitness enthusiasts joined in to support and encourage the runners, creating an unforgettable sense of camaraderie. Several of the runners were fulfilling their 2025 fitness resolutions, making the event even more meaningful.

The winners of the 10KM, 5KM, and 3KM categories were celebrated on stage, where they shared their joy of accomplishment and received their well-earned prizes. The top finishers were awarded cash prizes and exciting experiences, including entry tickets to Water Kingdom Water Park, EsselWorld Bird Park, and the family-friendly Tic Tac Toe toddler play area.

Following the race, participants enjoyed snacks, received their medals and certificates, and spent time reflecting on the sense of achievement. As the event came to a close, smiles and laughter filled the air, with many participants expressing their satisfaction and joy at having been part of such a remarkable and memorable experience.

Winners:

  • 10KM: Shyam Singh Yadav (Winner) Nikhil Singh (1st Runner Up), Santosh Yadav (2nd Runner Up), Manjeet Ram (3rd Runner Up), and Vishal Yadav (4th Runner Up).
  • 5KM: Mukesh Yadav (Winner)   Sagar Shukla (1st Runner Up),  Satyam Vishwakar (2nd Runner Up), Rohit Sanga (3rd Runner Up)  Saif Shaikh (4th Runner Up).
  • 3KM: Aman Raj (Winner), Anurag Chaurasiya (1st Runner Up) Anish Nishad (2nd Runner Up) Manish Pandey (3rd Runner Up) Ashish Kumar Rajbhar (4th Runner Up)

The Water Kingdom Marathon 2025 proved to be more than just a race—it was a community celebration of health, fitness, and well-being. From the youngest participant, just 3 years old, to the oldest, at 85, the event showcased the power of fitness to unite people of all ages and backgrounds. It also marked the beginning of a movement towards a healthier, more active lifestyle in Mumbai.
