Second edition of enTTeh 2019 |M&E B2B hosted in Mumbai March 4-6, 2019

20190304_130016The second edition of the enTTech (The Entertainment Technology Show) 2019, concluded today, at the Hotel Sahara Star, Mumbai.  The market, spread over two days (march 4-6, 2019) saw a matchmaking between international delegates and their Indian counterparts.

The event was hosted by Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) in joint support with the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.

The core objective of enTTech 2019 is to provide a global platform to encourage Media and Entertainment companies to find a foothold in the global market and also allow other popular companies internationally to deepen their footprints around the world.

Over 33 countries from the  Media & Entertainment companies especially in  Advertising, Animation, VFX, Gaming, AR/VR, Entertainment, Film Production, Music, Media, Technology, Editing, Dubbing Industry etc were present at this event.

20190304_125243Vice Chairman, SEPC, Maneck E Davar welcomed the participating members and the international delegates.  The inauguration ceremony saw several dignitaries from various sectors coming together on the platform which included Shri Vinod Tawde, Honourable Minister of Higher & Technical Education, Marathi Bhasha, Cultural Affairs, along with Shri Darpan Jain, Department of Commerce Join Secretary services, Cosmos Maya Founder Shri Ketan Mehta, along with SEPC DG, Smt. Sangeeta Godbole.

The inauguration was followed by a visit around the stalls showcasing the brilliant display of the participating members’ businesses.

While inaugurating EnTTech2019, The Entertainment Technology Show in Mumbai the Minister stated that Edutainment is the future to create subjects like science,history and culture live in the minds of students. He also assured that their will be no shortage of skilled human resources for this Industry in the next 2-3 years.

The media & entertainment market has grown at a CAGR of 11 percent over 2014-18 and is expected to grow at a CAGR of over 13 percent in the next 5 years. The movie industry in India is also big business and box office revenues are growing steadily. The best opportunities for multinational businesses, however, are more likely found in joint “Bollywood” production projects, rather than in licensing or exporting movies. Electronic home video is expanding rapidly, especially streaming content for a monthly flat rate.

The all-inclusive, unlimited subscription model is gaining in popularity as digital entertainment expands in India just like in many developing economies. Live music and digital music streaming are proliferating in India. Video games, including PC, app-based, digital, and online consoles are also growing rapidly.

The Indian content on screen reaches over 85 countries in all major OTT platforms, including Netflix, Prime Video, iTunes, YouTube.

After Hollywood, Indian cinema has the highest reach (in terms of distribution for films) and reaches over 75 territories globally.

The B2B event highlighted various panel discussion on content creation, digitalization, IP Creation, VFX and other animation studios.  There were a few global presentations which brought out the creativity and talent pool and offered some great opportunities for collaborations.

Green Gold Animation, Reliance Animation, One Take Media, Rotomaker India, Spenta Multimedia, Prime Focus, Meraki Films, DQ Entertainment, Travel XP, Jagran Prakashan Ltd were a few of the Indian players present at the Event.
