
Abu Dhabi: In a star-studded ceremony at the Etihad Arena, Yas Island, Tollywood legend Chiranjeevi was honoured with the prestigious Outstanding Achievement for Indian Cinema Award at the 24th IIFA Festival. The award was presented by Bollywood stalwarts Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar, adding to the grandeur of the occasion.
A visibly emotional Chiranjeevi expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Telugu film industry and his loyal fans. “This award is not just for me; it belongs to my fans who have stood by me throughout my journey. I owe everything to them,” he said, receiving a standing ovation from the packed audience.
The event, hosted by Tollywood actors Rana Daggubati and Teja Sajja, was a dazzling affair, with numerous stars in attendance, including Nasser, Brahmanandam, Priyadarshan, Priyamani, Sarathkumar, Radhika, Varalaxmi, and Karan Johar.
The three-day IIFA Festival celebrates the very best of Indian cinema, and Chiranjeevi’s award is a well-deserved tribute to his outstanding contributions to the industry.
