He along with Vijay Pawle (41 runs in 17 balls) added 79 runs for the fourth wicket in just 28 balls to set up a huge total for Chennai Singams’ to chase.
Opener Ketan Mhatre led the charge for Chennai Singams as he hit Vijay Pawle for five consecutive sixes in the third over and followed it up with another six of the first ball he faced from Basharat Wani.
He completed his half century in 13 balls and till he was batting, Chennai Singams would have entertained thoughts of victory. But once Mhatre was caught on the fine leg fence while trying to hit Wani out of the park, Majhi Mumbai were back in the driver’s seat.
