Cricket’s global journey took a decisive step westward today, with Mumbai playing host to the official launch of LaGrange Cricket Stadium, a landmark project set to redefine the sport’s future in the United States. Developed by LaGrange Cricket Holdings, the state-of-the-art venue near Atlanta, Georgia, signals cricket’s accelerating relevance in America — powered significantly by Indian expat vision and expertise.
Scheduled to open in 2027, LaGrange Cricket Stadium is being positioned as a permanent home for cricket in the USA, aligning the sport’s explosive global growth with America’s expanding appetite for international formats and leagues.
Spread across 45 acres, the stadium will feature 10,000 permanent seats, expandable to 25,000 for marquee matches, concerts and open-air entertainment. Built to international cricketing standards, the venue is designed to host national and international fixtures, while also functioning as a multi-sport, community-first destination — placing LaGrange firmly on the global cricket map.
The press conference, held at a city hotel in Mumbai, brought together key stakeholders underscoring the strong India–USA cricket connection. Former India cricketer Pravin Amre, now Chief Strategy Officer of LaGrange Cricket Holdings, was joined by Keval Patel (Founder, President & CEO), Gary S. Pasricha (General Counsel), Siddharth Das (Co-Founder, Operations), Jefferson Miller (VP, Cricket), and Michael Hall, League Operations Director, Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
At the heart of the project is the influence of Indian cricketing knowledge — a factor that lends immediate credibility to the venture. Amre’s involvement ensures that the stadium not only meets global benchmarks but also reflects the ethos of a sport deeply ingrained in Indian culture.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Keval Patel, Founder, President & CEO, LaGrange Cricket Holdings, said: said, “LaGrange Cricket Stadium is more than a venue. It’s a world-class sports and entertainment destination designed to redefine how cricket is experienced in the United States. With Indian cricketing expertise, especially through Pravin Amre, we’re building a facility that blends global standards with long-term community and economic value.”
Echoing that vision, Pravin Amre, Chief Strategy Officer of LaGrange Cricket Holdings, added, “Having played and coached at the highest level, I know what an international-standard facility demands. From the pitch and player facilities to the fan experience, every detail is being carefully planned. This stadium has the potential to transform how cricket is played and developed in the US.”
Beyond elite competition, LaGrange Cricket Stadium is envisioned as a year-round hub — hosting youth academies, domestic leagues, cultural events and community programming. The project aims to create a structured pathway for young talent while acting as an economic and tourism catalyst for the region.
With 2.5 billion fans worldwide, played across 110 member nations, cricket is the second most-watched sport globally. Its footprint in the US continues to grow through emerging professional leagues and grassroots participation — and LaGrange Cricket Stadium is set to become central to that evolution.
As cricket breaks new ground beyond its traditional strongholds, the LaGrange project stands as a powerful symbol of the sport’s future in America — rooted in global ambition, strengthened by Indian influence, and built for generations to come.
