Rekha Rana, actress and fashionista was recently felicitated at Women Economic Forum (WEF) 2018 award. She was there to participate in the ‘The Economics of Goodness through Cinema & Media’, which was held at the Taj Vivanta in Delhi.
Rekha spoke on the subject of Women Empowerment. As Rekha Rana gave her powerful speech, she was also felicitated by the WEF2018 award of ‘Exceptional Women of Excellence’. “Cinema and Media are power tools to influence the society, and hence it is all the more important for an artist and filmmaker to choose wisely a topic which can help bring a change, however small it may seem”, said Rekha.
The World Empowerment Forum (WEF) encourages and acknowledges women of different economic background and societal status to come together on a single platform and work towards their overall economic development and prosperity and contribute positively to the society.
