In a spectacular musical celebration, Academy Award-winning composer A.R. Rahman took to the stage at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai on February 12, 2025, to launch the highly anticipated Chhaava album. The event was a thrilling blend of music, history, and emotion, marking a powerful moment for both fans and the film’s star-studded cast.

The evening featured breathtaking live performances from Rahman and his team, showcasing the epic tracks from the Chhaava album, which tells the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s valor. A dynamic dance troupe added energy and grandeur, amplifying the album’s emotive power.

Director Laxman Utekar, producer Dinesh Vijan, and the film’s lead cast—Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and more—were all in attendance. In a candid interaction, Rahman spoke about the deep connection he felt with the film. “Some movies aren’t just stories—they are the roar of a beating heart,” Rahman said. “Chhaava is one of them. I thoroughly enjoyed creating this music with the incredible team, and I can’t wait for you to experience it on screen!”

Vicky Kaushal, who stars as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, expressed his excitement about the collaboration with Rahman. “This is my first film with Rahman sir, and watching him perform these songs live has been unforgettable. I hope the powerful music resonates with audiences as much as it did with me.”

Rashmika Mandanna, who plays Maharani Yesubai Bhonsale, reflected on the significance of the album: “Every song carries a piece of history—stories of love, sacrifice, and duty. Watching Rahman sir bring the emotional depth of the film into the music was surreal. Being part of Chhaava is a privilege.”

Lyricist Irshad Kamil, who penned the album’s powerful lyrics, spoke about the artistic process. “Writing for Chhaava was an honor. The songs had to capture the essence of sacrifice, valor, and honor—honoring the legacy of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.”

Produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, Chhaava will be released worldwide on February 14, 2025. With Rahman’s mesmerizing music and a star-studded cast, this historical epic is set to leave a lasting impression on audiences.
