The Tata Mumbai Marathon (TMM), India’s premier marathon, is set to mark its landmark 20th edition on January 19, 2025, with over 60,000 runners expected to participate. This milestone event, recognized as Asia’s most prestigious marathon, continues to inspire fitness and philanthropy across the country, epitomizing the spirit of #ChangeBeganHere.
Procam International, the organizers of TMM, have announced Sir Mo Farah as the International Event Ambassador for this year’s World Athletics Gold Label race. Farah, a four-time Olympic gold medalist and one of the greatest distance runners of all time, expressed his excitement: “I’m thrilled to be part of this iconic event. The Tata Mumbai Marathon has sparked a running revolution in India, and I’m looking forward to being a part of this incredible celebration of health and unity.”
With a record prize pool of USD 390,238, the marathon will feature top athletes, including defending champions Hayle Lemi Berhanu and Aberash Minsewo. In addition to the marathon, other categories such as the Half Marathon, 10K, Senior Citizens’ Run, and Dream Run have already been oversubscribed, showing the growing enthusiasm for running in India.
