The All India Gem & Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC) has officially announced the 9th edition of the India Gems and Jewellery Show (GJS April 2026), scheduled to take place from 4th to 7th April 2026 at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai. Centered on the theme “Akshay Kala: The Eternal Art,” the premium B2B exhibition is strategically timed to drive sourcing for the Akshaya Tritiya and peak wedding seasons.
The announcement comes as the GJC proactively addresses potential gold price volatility and supply chain disruptions linked to geopolitical shifts in the Middle East. With India processing over 90% of the world’s diamonds, the 2026 show serves as a critical business platform for more than 400 exhibitors and 15,000 anticipated trade visitors to align with shifting consumer preferences for diamond-studded and lightweight gold designs.
Alongside the event launch, the GJC unveiled its new official logo, marking a milestone in its journey and reaffirming its commitment to strengthening India’s vast gem and jewellery ecosystem. The unveiling celebrated GJC’s new look, inspired by continued passion, reflecting the council’s dedication to the growth and progress of the industry.
At the heart of the emblem is a diamond shape, symbolising the strength and unity of the nearly six lakh businesses that form the backbone of the industry—from artisans and manufacturers to wholesalers and retailers. Integrated within the diamond is the letter ‘G’, representing Gems, Gold, and Growth, the core pillars of GJC’s mission.
A prominent upward arrow within the design signifies progress, innovation, and the industry’s rising contribution to India’s economy, while also highlighting the sector’s commitment to skill development and modernisation. The gold and emerald colour palette reflects prosperity, trust, and sustainability, aligning with GJC’s motto — Protecting, Progressing and Promoting the Indian Gem & Jewellery Industry.
